Our Mission Statement:
We are a self-supporting, non-profit organization dedicated to the enrichment of our community through visual art. We endeavor to provide a supportive and caring environment where art-minded people can come together to share their talents and love of art with the community.
Over the past 30+ years, and various locations throughout the Veneta area, we have done just that! We have sponsored all sorts of art classes, generally at a lower cost than in Eugene/Springfield; everything from painting (in various media), to quilting, crochet and doll making, to Ukranian Egg Decorating and Natural Egg Dyes for Easter Eggs, to Cement Baskets and Mosaics, and even Irish Step-dancing. Our Gallery has provided a place for local artists to sell their work and meet together for support, fellowship and fun. We have participated in local events and volunteered our services for various community projects like painting a mural on the information kiosk, etc.

OVERVIEW

In 1985 local artist enjoyed a painting class at the Community Center in Veneta, OR. This meeting lead to an art club which started the Applegate Art Guild journey. Within a few years this little club expanded. The group wanted to help out with community-oriented goals, and AAG became a non-profit organization.
